California State University, San Marcos University Village Housing and Dining project is currently under construction and is the first housing project in 20 years at CSU San Marcos. The project is intended to be a future model for on-campus housing access and equity, aiming to increase access for underserved, low-income students and support their social mobility and success in their journey toward a higher education degree.
The project is a 138,836 gross square foot student housing and dining facility that will be home to 570 additional student residents with a 10,888 square-foot dining hall that will provide affordable meal plans for many students. The student housing portion of the project will have 285 rooms on 128,748 square feet.
The new housing and dining complex will be transformative for the university and the overall community as it will enhance the “university experience” from what has historically been known as a “commuter school”.
