Welcome, McCarthy Interns!

McCarthy is proud to welcome 248 interns to our company this summer! This year’s intern cohort represents over 70 different colleges and universities from across the country. 

Our McCarthy Intern Advantage program provides interns not only a head-start toward their career, but genuine hands-on work experience and the kind of knowledge that makes a real difference. The classroom is now a jobsite, and the instructors are some of the best builders in America. Our interns are true team members from day one, taking on responsibilities that contribute to their teams’ success.

While many companies say their goal is to hire and retain the best talent, few are willing to make a true commitment to doing so. Not only do we offer hands-on experience, but also award-winning training and learning and development programs — all in a culture of employee-ownership. As a national leader in construction training, McCarthy's personalized approach to learning and development helps foster growth and ensure each intern’s experience is meaningful.

• 98.6 percent said they would return to McCarthy for another internship 
• 96 percent felt our program prepared them to succeed in construction 

Additionally, 80 percent of McCarthy interns returned to school with a full-time offer.
