Scott Canada oversees McCarthy’s renewable energy projects in the Southwestern U.S., with a focus on the solar marketplace. Since joining McCarthy’s solar team in 2009 as a preconstruction director, he has helped position McCarthy as an industry leader in solar design and construction. Along with a Bachelor of Science, Chemical Engineering from Texas Tech University and a Masters in Science, Construction Management, Scott has nearly two decades of experience in the energy industry. He is also a certified Energy Manager and Power Quality Professional through the Association of Energy Engineers and earned the US Green Building Council LEED AP BD+C credential.
Early in his career, Scott gained renewable energy experience with renewable energy working for Arizona Public Service. He expanded his knowledge by managing large utility scale EPC solar projects and overseeing a detailed utility impact study on the value solar brings to utility distribution, transmission and generation systems. Today, Scott’s deep technical understanding of the solar marketplace is something clients and partners have come to count on in this continuously evolving marketplace.
