Piedmont Healthcare Newton ER

The Piedmont Healthcare Expansion and Renovation was a 5,000-square-foot expansion and 12,000-square foot renovation of the existing emergency room area at the Piedmont Newton Hospital. The project included the demolition, construction, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and structural elements required for permit and construction of a fully functional facility. McCarthy also completed interior finishes and associated equipment coordination. The project doubled the emergency departments capacity from 16 to 32 beds, added a nurses’ station and a room for higher acuity trauma cases. The renovated area was operational during construction.
